Abstract

Based on the results of four surveys carried out in different countries and nursing homes, the spatial needs defined by Hunt (1991) were related to the four accessibility components.There are just a few spatial solutions that take into consideration informational and social needs as well as spatial orientation and communication components, due to the lack of the specific knowledge required.
