Abstract

ABSTRACT
The present article results from a research around the concept of Zone in what refers to a boundary, symbolic and urban space that activates multiple networks of meaning according to its use in social history, literature, cinema, urbanism and theory of art. Secondly, the text deals with the stalker as a character who traces the paths of the Zone. The article analyzes its emergence in Soviet science fiction, in modern cinema, and its unfolding in theoretical discussions, relating both to cyberspace and to a number of contemporary pedestrian practices.

Lucas Gadelha Parente, Doutorando na linha de investigação de Linguagens Visuais no Programa de Pós-Graduação em Artes Visuais da EBA-UFRJ

É cineasta, pesquisador e escritor. Doutorando na linha de investigação de Linguagens Visuais no Programa de Pós-Graduação em Artes Visuais da EBA-UFRJ, possui mestrado em Philosophie et critiques contemporaines de la culture pela UNIVERSIDADE PARIS 8 - VINCENNES SAINT DENIS (2013) e em Documentário Criativo pela Universidade Autônoma de Barcelona, UAB (2009). Realiza filmes em diversos gêneros e formatos, trabalha com escrita ficcional e desenvolve pesquisas em história das cidades, antropologia da imagem, história das religiões, teoria do cinema e história da arte.
