Photography and perspective have been interwoven since the earliest beginnings. The focus of this text is to
raise questions as to how photography, in particular photography of architecture, explores and plays with perspectiva artificialis to build representations of a “real” scene to a greater or lesser degree of accuracy. There exists, therefore, the possibility of getting closer to the “reality” or of creating new altered universes. Becoming aware of this peculiarity of photography makes the photographer/operator conscious of his/her responsibility of creating/interpreting and allows the observer to make a more critical reading of the information contained in the photographic image.
