Animals in situations of abandonment pose a risk to public health. This risk may decrease with rescue and adoption of these animals. As the animals rescue and adoption process involves many people, artifacts and information, adequate support is necessary. This work reports the remote design of a digital artifact to support animal rescue and adoption. The functionalities mentioned by (MELO; SILVA, 2021) were taken as a starting point, whose difference in relation to previous works is mainly due to approach to rescue, temporary care and transport of animals. The methodology used was the Double Diamond to develop the interface structure, a medium fidelity prototype and some high fidelity screens. We exemplify how usability, readability and visual consistency were considered in the elaboration of solution alternatives throughout the design process iteration. The medium-fidelity prototype was evaluated with the participation of 9 potential users, using a method based on the System Usability Scale (SUS) and in a focus group. Usability was considered excellent (94 average points in SUS) and some improvements were suggested. Finally, we discussed this experience of remote work in this practice of Design.
