APP CUIDAR: APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT FOR ASSISTANCE AND MONITORING OF MOTOR STIMULATION OF CHILDREN WITH MICROCEPHALY IN THE HOME ENVIRONMENT
Abstract
The Centro Especializado em Reabilitação (CER-IV) is a free service that guarantees the rehabilitation of children with microcephaly in the city of Campina Grande-PB, performing treatments of a motor, sensory and cognitive nature. With the COVID-19 pandemic, these treatments needed to be continued in the home environment, through the use of assistive technologies. Therefore, it was necessary to develop an application capable of helping the caregivers of these children in the reproduction of the activities prescribed by the remote service, with a view to preserving the evolution of patients. The application development methodology was divided into 3 stages: data collection and analysis; elaboration and validation of the project, in addition to the listing of positive and negative characteristics found in existing applications on the market, definition of activities included in the application from research in CER-IV, as well as studies on the service interfaces and graphic elements to be be used. Finally, screen adjustments and application implementation on the Google Play Store platform were performed. As a result, the pilot version of the CUIDAR application was reached, available for free download, whose main function is to reproduce the activities of a child's daily life.
