Aiming to understand the preferences of materials in female shoes of a consumer niche in the city of Caruaru-PE, using the fifth step of the Material Assessment Method: Permatus (Dias, 2009), the study performed a conative analysis in a focal group, comprising ergonomic aspects of the materials as propellants of a decision making in the purchase of the consumer in the usability od the footwears.
