Abstract

This article presents the development of an application proposal that aims to support and encourage the adoption of cycling as means of transportation among students of the Federal University of Maranhão, focusing on participatory design and usability. The stages of design are presented, focusing on ergonomic principles throughout the process. At the end, a usability test was developed with the SUS tool with a functional prototype of the application which presented satisfaction and usability index 93.33 among the participants.

É coordenadora do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Design PPGDg - UFMA, Doutora em Design pela Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho- UNESP - Bauru. É Mestre em Design, pela mesma instituição. É Bacharel em Desenho Industrial, com habilitação em Projeto de Produto, pela Universidade Federal do Maranhão - UFMA. Atua na Linha de Pesquisa Design: ergonomia e usabilidade de produtos e sistemas.
