Resumen

The training of teacher training students in Brazil involves observation and teaching activities in their future professional setting. Supervised Internship is more than a requirement of teacher training courses; it is a fundamental stage for interns to become aware of the possibilities and challenges of teaching practice. Using a qualitative methodology based on participant observation, this study aimed to fulfill the requirements of Supervised Internship IV (teaching) for the teaching degree program in Geography at the University of Pernambuco (UPE), Mata Norte Campus, at the Cônego Fernando Passos Reference High School, located in the municipality of Passira, Pernambuco. During the internship, two pedagogical interventions were carried out in the 2nd year of high school. It was found that the activities carried out in the 2nd year of high school contributed both to the training of the subjects as learners and to the training of the intern, with a main focus on the geographical context in which the student is inserted.
